‘All Labor Is Theft’ pairs a charged image with an intentionally confrontational title. The work isn’t interested in spelling anything out. Instead, it sits in the discomfort created by that pairing and lets the viewer decide how those ideas connect.
The tension lives in the gap between effort, performance, control, and perception — especially when labor is embodied and visible. Rather than offering commentary or resolution, the painting allows those questions to remain open.
This piece exists at the edge of personal reaction and political thought, where meaning isn’t delivered, but negotiated.
This original painting is now in a private collection.
