This portrait features jazz trumpeter, composer, activist, and humanitarian, Hannibal Lokumbe.  Hannibal came on my radar when I read an article about him on philly.com by Peter Dobrin.  I was so inspired by this man's spirit, and the more I read about him, the more I knew that I wanted to feature him in a painting.  I encourage you to google him and learn more about the work he does for the arts and for the community.
