‘Groucho Marx’ is a portrait I painted in response to an Instagram prompt. I’ve always been a fan of the Marx Brothers, even though Harpo was probably my favorite. A lot of Saturday afternoons were spent watching rebroadcasts of those films, and that affection definitely found its way into this piece.
This painting is meant as a straightforward nod to that era of humor—fast, absurd, and sharp without taking itself too seriously.
