‘LOVER FIGHTER’ holds a central place within my Defining Auras body of work. The portrait features fellow artist Katrina Schoorl and was created as a reflection of strength held alongside openness—of resilience that doesn’t harden into armor.
Rather than presenting opposition, the title speaks to balance. Love and resolve coexist here, expressed through presence, light, and quiet determination. The work honors the idea that gentleness and endurance are not contradictions, but complementary forces.
In ‘LOVER FIGHTER’, strength is not performative. It is steady, lived, and luminous.
