'SAINT MISBEHAVIN'' 9X12" Acrylic Portrait Featuring Wavy Gravy

This portrait features humanitarian and peace activist, Wavy Gravy (Hugh Nanton Romney Jr.).  I really enjoyed the 'Saint Misbehavin'' Documentary and that was the inspiration for me doing this portrait.  It's clear to me that we are all standing on one another's shoulders.  We must examine the leaders and ideas of the past in order to find our way forward.  I think the whole idea of counterculture has been lost and that is a shame.  One way or another we are surrounded by culture.  I think its destructive when we allow ourselves to be assimilated into it instead of shaping it around our ideals.
