This portrait features legendary poet and creative spirit, Dr. Maya Angelou.  Deep within all of us is our pure spirit.  Our spirit is the part of us that is pure love.  It is repressed by fear and trauma, but it cannot be destroyed.  It is each of our individual life's missions to connect with this pure part of us, to nurture it, and bring it to the surface.  It is a challenge for each of us to approach each day from a place of love.  Meeting this challenge of love creates compassion.  This is how we change the world.
