Sometimes it’s fun to try something different. This is the first time I have painted a UFO, but I don’t think that it is the last! I’m so intrigued by the secrets of the Universe and shows and movies about aliens are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me.
This painting was a bit of a meditative exercise for me, painting from memory a common type of simulation in these movies/tv shows: the secluded UFO touchdown. It’s very interesting for me what my mind does with these images that I’ve seen thousands of times when trying to recreate them from memory. It seemed to comes out with a strong expressionist style and a definite outsider art vibe. Go figure!
