NFT: DrainedEye Skull #1 - ‘FILL THE VOID (DYNAMIC)’

Dynamic Fill The Void NFT Skull Skull NFT Skull NFT 1-10

Thank you for your interest in my Skull NFT Collection!  This is the first artwork in an initial series of 10 skull themed NFT’s.  Each of the initial NFT works (numbers 1-10) are offered as a limited series of 10.  So that makes 100 individual NFT’s available to collect across the 10 artworks.   I designed this collection to present as a visual album, so thank you for starting here at the beginning.

This artwork started as a rough black and white drawing. For me art is a very meditative process where I often just turn my hand loose, and then stop periodically to assess and make adjustments. When I stopped the first time to really look at what I had made, the finished idea struck my mind much as the lightning in the artwork. I saw what I wanted to create and set about figuring out how to do it.

This piece is quite complicated with 8 animated elements. That is why I consider it the Jewel of this collection's first release (#1-10). As you look at it, make sure you turn on the sound!

This painting in motion depicts an awakening of sorts. Sometimes something happens in life that makes you feel as if you're actually seeing for the first time. These are often chaotic moments where previous closely held beliefs are suddenly swept away with the power of a new reality. When I have experienced this, I am inevitably left with the sensation that I must have previously been blind to not have been able to see what is clearly so evident to me now. The truth is we don't get to pick our times of growth, only experience them and hopefully learn from them.

Personally these moments have always been charged with creative energy. However, when arranging this sequence, another truth was received. A warning of how the cycle will continue until we understand completely. My friends have told me that they watched this dozens of times, each rotation noticing some different beautiful detail. I think this is an alluring metaphor for an imperfect life.

Thank you for spending time with this work
