NFT: DrainedEye Skull #2 - ‘FILL THE VOID (STATIC)’

Fill The Void NFT Skull Skull NFT Skull NFT 1-10 Static

Thank you for your interest in my Skull NFT Collection!  This is the second artwork in an initial series of 10 skull themed NFT’s.  Each of the initial NFT works (numbers 1-10) are offered as a limited series of 10.  So that makes 100 individual NFT’s available to collect across the 10 artworks.   I designed this collection to present as a visual album, so I would prefer you to start with #1 and work your way up in numerical order. Thank you for being open to receive my message!

This static version of 'FILL THE VOID' was created by combining and modifying elements of the original animated version. If you haven't read the description for #1, I invite you to check it out then come back. I am really loving the process of creating digitally. As a traditional painter, when I conceive a painting, it is actually often an idea in motion. I then have to find a way to convey that motion in a single frame. With digital I now have the option of using the element of motion to enhance my communication with you the collector. The whole process of creating this painting from the elements of #1 was a revelation in the construction of an idea. It is amazing how similar the two processes are.

I love that this painting so completely conveys the message of the original in a single frame, and yet somehow is able to do even more. It states my intention even more directly. I am in awe of how succinct it is! If you've ever talked to me in person, you might have noticed that I'm not very skilled at communicating succinctly. Maybe that is why this painting blows my mind and why I love being an artist so much.

The expression, "filling the void" largely has a negative connotation, but we can't deny that life gives us challenges that can leave us feeling disjointed and incomplete. I love that this painting, even more than it's source shows that how we fill that void is a choice and leans heavy into the light.

Thank you for spending time with this work.
